Kenya Festivals – The Events That Bring In Tourists From All Over

We are often too busy with our lives of work, lattes, pine furniture and meeting friends down the pub to think about going somewhere truly original for our next holiday, but have you ever considered Kenya? One thing Kenya is well known for is its events and festivals. These are what make up the real culture of the country. Many travelers come to this country just for the festivals alone. The Kenya Tourism Week
On September 27th, World Tourism Day is celebrated in Kenya. Kenya became a member of the World Tourism Day back in 1991 and ever since then this festival is celebrated. Tourists are provided with cheap flights, dinner parties, free trips to several sights and more.
The Air Show
This is an annual in which Aero Club of East Africa organized. During this event, tourists can watch different models of aircrafts such as the Landrover Hawker Hunter, Whisper Class, F-5E ’Tiger’and the Pilatus Pc 12. This is one of the fastest growing air shows in Africa.
Safari Rally
Another well known event is known as the Safari Rally. World Motor Sports Council organized this event along with Safari Rally Kenya Ltd. It use to be held only on Easter holidays, however, the date has now changed for unknown reasons. Interested drivers worldwide can register to participate in this event. Each driver will need to be sponsored and fueled by a well known and recognized company. This event lasts for over 4 to 5 days.
