Give me sunshine

October 31st, 2010

I have just returned from two weeks of busy business and pleasure travel in the UK and Spain looking primarily at solar heating and solar based refrigeration technology that can be imported into Africa. I loved the trip but have to be honest and say I enjoyed Barcelona and Madrid more than London. Not like there is anything wrong with London, far from it it is a great city, but the sun shines so much more in Spain than it does in the UK. And it is not like you can dial up sun on the cheap and living in Ghana I like my sunshine.
One of the retailers I was in discussion with was a big fan of discounting to attract interest although I am not sure how I can take comet.co.uk discount codes and utilize that within energy conservation unless maybe I can bulk import and bulk sell out to other African countries.
Anyway off topic but on fun I have to say apart from recommending you all to look at the emerging technologies I would recommend you to take a trip to Barcelona. Man what a city!
The first day I got in there was a rest day and I headed from the airport to my hotel and then straight out onto Las Ramblas which was alive and buzzing. I eventually headed into the old quarter and was amazed by the beauty of the place and the tiny streets overlooked by tall old buildings. After eventually hitting the sea for a bite to eat I wondered back in and stumbled across a massive street party celebrating the devil with fireworks as I have never seen before. Man that city knows how to party.
I won’t spoil it by telling you more as hopefully you will make it down there yourself… you won’t regret it.
